Welcome back to The Opposition. There’s a lot going on this week. 

With 101 days down, we look at how organized opposition movements, legal action groups and courts will continue to be key in checking President Donald Trump throughout the 1,360 remaining days of his second term.

Also in this edition: Trump laid out his plans to further militarize law enforcement; and an update on the Milwaukee judge arrested by the Trump administration.

Catch up quickly 

• A massive coalition of dozens of union groups, non-profit organizations and local governments sued Tuesday to halt Trump’s efforts to remake the government without congressional approval.
  
  
• The Corporation for Public Broadcasting filed a lawsuit against Trump Tuesday after he attempted to fire three out of its five board members. Citing federal law and Supreme Court precedent, the corporation argued that Trump had no authority to remove the board members.
  
  
• Trump in an interview with ABC News this week said he could free Kilmar Abrego García, the Maryland man the Trump administration erroneously sent to a Salvadoran prison, but won’t. The president’s admission, critics noted, undermined previous statements from his top aides, and indicates that his administration is choosing not to comply with the Supreme Court’s demand that it secure Abrego García’s freedom.
