One of the biggest questions we get every week from readers like you is: What can I do to help?

We understand that feeling. With all of President Donald Trump’s anti-voting threats having twists and turns at lightning speed, it can feel overwhelming. So it's natural to look for something tangible to do in the fight against it.

We kept listening to you, and that got us thinking: How can we help answer that question in a way that is actually helpful for those seeking to get involved?

Our answer? A monthly newsletter and a brand-new bulletin board community page with a list of ways you can volunteer, attend rallies, do phone banking, write petitions, and much more.

We like to think of it as a virtual version of a bulletin board you might see at your local library or town hall. A space where pro-democracy fighters can freely share events from across the country. Some might be major rallies in big cities, while others might be small local events. We want to create a space where you can see ways that you can make an impact. While we are not endorsing the activities on the board, since they are member-led, we think it’s important for you to have a place to share ways your fellow subscribers can see ways to get involved.

We are launching that page for members today. See a preview of what the bulletin board will look like here.

But we want this to be a collaborative effort. Pro-democracy readers like you are a passionate community; I know you have events you are attending that you’d like to share with people. In fact, many of you already have — we got so many responses when I vaguely teased this over the past few weeks. You can submit events on the bulletin board (or email us at bulletinboard@democracydocket.com) that you want others to know about and attend.

This bulletin board should empower you — not just to get involved, but to try to help others do the same.

One final fun thing: We want to highlight you in our monthly emails when you attend an event so others in our Democracy Docket community can see the pro-democracy movement in action. So please snap some pictures and share them our way.

But as I mentioned, we will also be sending out a newsletter where I’ll round up some upcoming events each month. I won’t be able to fit all of them, so be sure to check the bulletin board frequently!

I am excited about this project, and I hope you are too.
