Trump fires DHS secretary, nominates 2020 election denier to replace her

President Donald Trump announced he would replace Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem with Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R), effective March 31.
The demotion comes after both Democratic and Republican senators showed deep frustration with her department’s leadership during combative testimony earlier this week.
Mullin has a history of questioning the results of the 2020 presidential election.
