Hello, pro-democracy readers. We sent Daily Docket just minutes ago, but with Election Day around the corner, this was too important not to share.

The 9th Circuit has refused to sign on to the Trump Department of Justice’s (DOJ) effort to disenfranchise thousands of California voters during the 2026 midterm elections. A district court will hear the case Tuesday.

Marc is live on YouTube right now, discussing this and many more important voting rights issues you need to know about.

For now, the 9th Circuit’s ruling sends the case back to the district court, where a hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
