Donald Trump is a master of abusing the legal system. As a businessman, Trump used litigation to bludgeon his competitors and stiff his vendors. When he came onto the political scene, he threatened lawsuits and filed frivolous cases to distract political opponents and create false narratives.

Most famously, in 2020, he and his campaign used litigation to restrict voting rights prior to the election and to overturn the results after he lost.

I have witnessed Trump's abuses firsthand and fought against them in court. In 2020, I represented President Biden and the Democratic Party in defeating Trump and his allies in scores of cases. Since then, my law firm and I have continued to fight in court — litigating hundreds of voting and election cases in nearly every state.

He has filed frivolous lawsuits against media organizations. Sadly, several of which were settled by owners looking to curry favor with Trump. Those outlets that prevailed.

Prior to becoming president, he even sued me — a case I fought and won. He and his attorney were sanctioned and required to pay the legal fees of several other defendants.

Since returning to office, Trump has become more brazen in his abuse of the legal system. As president, he has used the Department of Justice (DOJ) to prosecute his political opponents and gain a political advantage in the upcoming elections.

He has also used the legal system and powers of the presidency to gain personal wealth for himself, his family, and his supporters.
